Time marches on in a parade of faces,
Through life we walk with its graces,
Trials of fire and ice befall our lives,
In preparation for the final sacrifice.
The empyrean of life we unveil,
Dark as it is full of travail,
Cold as winter and dark as night,
It foretells nothing but horror of our plight.
